At the North America Leaders Summit in Mexico City, Biden told that he was a professor four years after being Vice President. For two years, the University of Pennsylvania paid Biden almost one million USD, but he never taught a single class.
Appointed as Special Professor
However, a research has also said that Biden keeps lying about being a professor. He was Honorary Professor at the Philadelphia School from 2017-2019. According to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer, he was paid US$371,159 in 2017 and US$540,484 in 2018 and 2019.
USD 9 million in three years
In 2017, Biden accepted a professorship, officially known as the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor. However, this role was honorary. Biden held this position in Pennsylvania (UPenn) after being vice president in Barack Obama’s administration. According to information received from the tax department, Biden took more than US $ 9 million from the university between 2017 and 2019 to hold the post.
Biden in trouble over government document
These days, Biden is also getting stuck in getting government documents from his private office. In fact, during the Vice President’s tenure, many confidential documents were revealed from his office. Biden’s lawyer has also confessed about these documents that they have been received from his private office. However, Biden said in his latest statement that he is quite surprised about the matter and will fully assist in the investigation.
