Amit Shah Slams Rahul Gandhi: Senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Tuesday said that there is no competition between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ‘India’ alliance of opposition parties.
He termed the ‘India’ alliance as an alliance of ‘familyists’ and corrupt people and expressed confidence that BJP will achieve the target of ‘crossing 400’ (target of winning more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections). The Union Home Minister expressed confidence that BJP will win all the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka.
‘Opposition alliance is a gathering of corruption and scams’
Shah said that there is no competition between the BJP-led NDA and the Congress-led ‘India’ alliance. He termed the opposition alliance as a gathering of corruption and scams. The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who never takes leave, is no match for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who visits foreign countries as soon as summer starts.
Shah said, “In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, on one side there is BJP and NDA under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and we are in the fray under the leadership of Modi, while on the other side there is ‘India’ alliance of ‘familyists’ and ‘corrupt people’.” ”
Addressing party workers and leaders in Bengaluru, the Union Home Minister said that he has visited almost 60 per cent of the states across the country and claimed that people everywhere are raising slogans of ‘Modi, Modi’.
Amit Shah Gave mantra of victory to BJP workers
He said, “This time Prime Minister Modi has set a target of ‘crossing 400’ before BJP workers.” of 2014 Lok Sabha Elections In 2015, the people of Karnataka gave us 43 percent votes and 17 seats. In the 2019 elections, the people here gave us 25 seats with 51 percent votes. But this time I urge the people and party workers to ensure 60 percent votes and victory of the BJP alliance on all 28 seats.
Shah was addressing ‘Shakti Kendra’ (cluster of three to five polling booths) leaders and workers of Bengaluru North, Bengaluru South, Bengaluru Rural and Chikkaballapur Lok Sabha constituencies at the Palace Ground here. The senior BJP leader said that he can say with full confidence that the BJP-Janata Dal (Secular) alliance will win all the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka. He said that he will not allow Congress to open its account.
‘Opposition cannot level corruption charges against PM Modi’
Shah claimed, “On one hand there is Narendra Modi who has been serving as Chief Minister and Prime Minister for 23 consecutive years; In these 23 years, the opposition cannot allege even 23 paise of corruption against Modi. He said, “Modi has set an example of transparency in the country in the last 23 years.” On the other hand, there is an ‘arrogant’ coalition of corruption.
Shah claimed that scams and corruption worth Rs 12 lakh crore took place during the 10-year rule of the Congress led by Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi. He also targeted Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on the issue of corruption. He said, “The people of Karnataka do not want corruption.”
‘Congress is fighting together with the scammers’
Listing various scams reported in the media during the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime such as “coal allocation scam, Commonwealth Games, 2G, INX Media, Aircel, land-for-jobs, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association”, Shah said Said that Congress, which is involved in the alleged scam of Rs 12 lakh crore, is competing with Modi.
He said, “There is a clear choice before the people of the country: on one side is Narendra Modi who ran the administration for 23 years without a single penny of corruption, while on the other side is the Congress which was involved in scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore.” Shah claimed, “Whenever these people get power, they not only indulge in corruption but their focus is never on serving the people.”
‘Rahul Gandhi goes abroad in summer’
Shah said that he has been working with Modi for the last 40 years. He said that Modi is probably the only person in the world who remained Chief Minister and Prime Minister for 23 years but did not take even a single day’s leave. The Union Minister said, “He (Modi) always worked for India, did not take even a single day’s leave.” On the other hand, Rahul ‘Baba’ goes abroad as soon as summer starts.
