Amit Shah Spoke With Storm Hit States CM : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday (April 1) spoke to the Chief Ministers of the states hit by heavy rains and strong storms. Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Assam and Manipur.

Home Minister Shah has assured him of all possible help from the Centre. There has been huge damage due to the storm in all three states. Four people have died in West Bengal. Amit Shah also appealed to the BJP workers of the three states to provide all possible help to the people affected by the storm in this hour of crisis.

The Union Home Minister said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “I am extremely concerned about the huge damage caused to West Bengal, Assam and Manipur due to the storm. Spoke to Chief Ministers and assured them of all possible assistance. I express my deep condolences to the families of the deceased and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

There have been deaths in three states, hundreds injured

Four people died and more than 100 were injured as heavy rains and storm lashed parts of North Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district on Sunday. At the same time, in Assam, a child died and two people were reported missing after a boat capsized in the Brahmaputra river in South Salmara-Mankachar district amid heavy rains and hailstorm.

Rain and hailstorm also occurred in these three states on Sunday, due to which houses, buildings and crops were damaged. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached North Bengal on Sunday night itself. He has visited many parts of the area and inquired about the well being of the people. He has announced that the state government will provide financial compensation within the norms of the Model Code of Conduct.
