In Naugaon Sadat, the high tension line wire got entangled in a truck loaded with overloaded sugarcane. The driver and operator present in the cabin of the truck sat curled up on their chairs due to fear of electrocution. Then crusher owner Zeeshan (30), resident of Saidpur Imma village, who reached the spot to save the driver-conductor, got electrocuted as soon as he opened the window.
Due to this he died on the spot. After some time a crowd of people gathered. Police reached the spot and investigated. The family members have cremated the body without conducting post-mortem. Zeeshan was the third son of Ramjani, a farmer living in the village. Zeeshan was the youngest among three brothers.
His elder brother Ali Hasan is the head of the village. A jaggery crusher used to operate on the banks of Dhanaura Road, a short distance from Zeeshan village. Zeeshan is survived by his wife Farzana and three children. On Monday morning, Zeeshan was loading jaggery in the tractor trolley along with the labourers. Just then a truck laden with sugarcane was going from Saidpur Imma towards Dhanaura.
Due to overloading of sugarcane in the truck, it collided with the wire of high tension line passing over the road. During this time the wire broke and got stuck to the truck. As soon as the electric current was applied, the driver and conductor present in the cabin shrank and sat on the chair. Due to fear of electrocution, both of them stopped making any kind of movement.
Zeeshan was surprised to see this. He immediately reached near the truck and tried to open the window of the truck to save the driver and operator. As soon as he tried to open the window, Zeeshan got electrocuted. He died on the spot. The workers present at the crusher made noise.
After which a crowd of people gathered. The supply was stopped by calling the power house. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and investigated the entire matter. Zeeshan’s family refused to take legal action. CO Anjali Kataria said that the family members have not taken legal action in the matter.
