IIRF (Indian Institution Ranking Framework) has released the rankings. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) topped the law institutes in the state, but was out of the top ten institutes of the country.
According to the IIRF website, the Faculty of Law of AMU was ranked 10th in the year 2023, while it will reach the 11th position in the year 2024. In the year 2023, the Department of Architecture of AMU was at 13th position, whereas in the year 2024 it came to 14th position. The management department has made qualitative improvement in its ranking. In the year 2023, the management department of AMU was ranked 39th, while in the year 2024 it remained at 39th position. In the ranking, the Faculty of Law of Lucknow University has been ranked 32nd in the country in the category of state universities. Earlier, Lviv had got 33rd position.
Only Lviv from Uttar Pradesh has been included among the state universities. BHU has been ranked 19th and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University has been ranked 24th. IIRF evaluates institutions every year on the basis of five parameters. It includes parameters like employability, teaching-learning resources, faculty, infrastructure, projects and case studies.
The decline in the ranking of the Law Faculty has dealt a blow to the Faculty of Law. The law faculty of the university is renowned in the country.
