Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Prof. Tariq Mansoor has got the reward of proximity to BJP and Sangh in the form of MLC post. The BJP has sent the recommendation of his name to the Governor. Pro. Even before becoming the Vice-Chancellor of Mansoor, there has been a lot of closeness with the strong leaders of the BJP and the Sangh. It is discussed that there was a recommendation from the Sangh and BJP leaders to make him the Vice-Chancellor. That is why BJP leaders have been present in the convocation ceremony and other programs of the university. The then Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank participated in the online program. The then President Ramnath Kovind also attended the convocation ceremony as the chief guest.
On the centenary year of AMU, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had described the university as Mini India by participating in the online program. MP Satish Gautam was very aggressive on AMU and the Vice-Chancellor in the controversy over the picture of Mohammad Ali Jinnah in the AMU Students’ Union room, but every time Prof. Tariq kept taking support of his closeness with the Sangh. Not only this Prof. BJP leaders including Dr. Krishna Gopal, senior campaigner Indresh Kumar, Sunil Ambedkar, National Co-Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh attended the ceremony of Tariq Mansoor’s son and blessed the bride and groom.
Recently, at the Padma Shri award ceremony in Delhi, along with the President, Prime Minister and other ministers, Prof. The presence of Tariq Mansoor was the subject of much discussion. Regarding BJP and Sangh, Prof. Tariq has been inclined. Recently allotting rooms in hostels to Hindu students in a hurry is being linked to it, while these Hindu students were very low in the waiting list of rooms. Only complaints from officials and intervention of BJP leaders forced the arrangements to give the room.
