Anant Ambani Radhika Merchant Wedding: A message is currently going viral on the instant messaging platform WhatsApp. This message claims that Reliance Jio is giving 3 months of free recharge to Jio users in celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. This viral message says that Jio users have to tap on a link to buy a free recharge plan for three months. However, this message is completely fake and the risk of fraud has increased significantly.
According to a report by India Today, the telecom company has confirmed that it is not offering any free recharge plan to the users and such messages should not be trusted. The company has also said that such messages can lead to users getting trapped in a big scam.
This fake message is going viral
This viral message reads- “On the occasion of Anant Ambani’s wedding on July 12, Mukesh Ambani is giving 3 months free recharge of Rs 799 to all Jio users in India. So now recharge your number by clicking on the blue link given below.” Let us tell you that a link to an unknown site named Maha Cashback has also been given in it.
Take special care of these things
Jio users are advised to verify such messages first. Apart from this, recharge only through MyJio App or Phonepe and Google Pay. If the company had offered a 3-month free recharge plan, it would have officially announced it. Jio has not made any such announcement yet. Users should avoid such fraud messages.
