Remains of protected animals were found near Bahlolpur-Lekhrajpur in Lodha in the early hours of 5 June. The police registered a case and sent the remains to the laboratory for examination. When the case was investigated, the names of some accused from Purdilnagar in Hathras came to the fore. When the police started searching, their location was found in Aligarh. Meanwhile, during the siege, the police had an encounter with some criminals during checking near Rustampur Akkhan on Wednesday night.

The accused, who was injured by a bullet in his leg, was brought to the district hospital at around 1.30 am on June 5. There he told his name as Chahat and said that he was a resident of Purdilnagar Sikandrarao Hathras. The police claim that he has accepted his involvement in the protected animal slaughter incident. Apart from pistol, cartridges, shells, animal slaughtering tools like knife, hook, pointed rod etc. were recovered from him. After first aid, he was sent to jail.

According to police records, 11 cases are registered against him, out of which three cases of protected animal slaughter are in Sikandrarao, while other cases of theft, Gangster Act etc. are in Sikandrarao and Kotwali Uparkot. Inspector Lodha Vipin Kumar, SWAT and surveillance team were included in this arrest team.
