Ankita Bhandari Murder Case: The Uttarakhand High Court on Wednesday (December 21) rejected the petition requesting the CBI to investigate the Ankita Bhandari murder case.

A single-judge bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar dismissed the plea saying that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is already probing the matter and it should not be doubted. The High Court also said that no VIP is being defended in this case, as alleged in the petition.

What was the claim?

Ashutosh Negi, a resident of Pauri Garhwal, had filed a petition claiming that the police and the SIT were hiding important evidence in the case. It was said in the petition that the SIT has not yet made public the postmortem report of the victim. The Uttarakhand High Court has said this on this petition.
