Archaeological experts have said that these graves could be of notorious prisoners, whose stories are being tried to be known. Josh Marano says that these graves could also be of American soldiers who were stationed at Fort Jefferson. Yellow fever patients were treated in the hospital between 1890-1900. This is the same place that was used to keep prisoners during the American Civil War. In such a situation, this place also contains stories of their torture and painful death.
