Apple IOS 17 3 Stolen Device Protection Feature Here Is How To Turn It On And Why It Is Important For IPhone Users

Apple has recently released iOS 17.3 Release Candidate beta for testers and developers. The company has released this update a week after releasing iOS 17.3 Beta 3. According to CNET report, the new update comes with some bug fixes and new features. This update is bringing a special security feature for iPhone users. If you get this update in future, then turn on this feature immediately.

This feature is very special for security

In iOS 17.3 update, users will get a feature called ‘Stolen Device Protection’ for the security of iPhone. If someone steals your iPhone while keeping it on, then despite knowing the mobile password, that person will not be able to know your Apple ID or financial details. To access these details, Face ID or Touch ID will be required. If your device is outside home or saved location, then you will have to wait for more than 1 hour to change the personal details. This means that if the mobile is stolen, your details will no longer be able to be changed.

Actually, what used to happen till now was that if someone knows your mobile password and has stolen your phone, then he could change your personal details, Apple ID, but after the new update, it will become very difficult to do so. Without your authentication no one will be able to do this.

Turn on this feature like this

After getting the update, to turn on this feature, first go to the Settings of your iPhone and go to Face ID here and turn on this option. You can also customize your security settings from here.

New wallpaper will also be available

In this update, Apple will also give a wallpaper named Unity Bloom to the users. To coincide with Black History Month, the wallpaper features an outline of flowers that dynamically fills with color when the display is active, CNET reports. Black History Month is celebrated in the US.
