Apple Watch Series 10 to be launched on september 9 censor will alert for sleep apnea

Apple Watch Series 10: Apple’s new Watch Series 10 is going to be launched soon. It is being told that it is likely to have an ECG sensor which can help in detecting sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which breathing stops and starts repeatedly. A person suffering from this condition stops breathing intermittently, and also snores and gasps while sleeping. This reduces the level of oxygen in the blood, making the condition potentially fatal.

According to media reports, using the sleep tracking feature, the new Apple Watch Series 10 will be able to detect sleep apnea in users. It can alert users and recommend further tests. Its other major health features include changes in the processing of health data collected by these sensors. The report claims that for this, a new health algorithm has been used in the iPhone, which will be able to check atrial fibrillation.

Watch Series 10 will be announced on September 9

The much-awaited event with the tagline “It’s Glowtime” is expected to take place on September 9. Other possible features of the Watch Series 10 include a slightly larger display and a thinner case that will be available in both 44mm and 48mm sizes. Apart from this, it is also likely to have better water resistance feature. There is another feature called Reflection which works as a watch face and reacts with ambient light.

Heart health will be taken care of

Despite the new addition, Apple will likely not include the blood oxygen sensor feature, which it removed from the current watch after a patent dispute with Masimo. Apple Watch is known to provide features like high and low heart notifications, cardio fitness, ECG app and atrial fibrillation (AFib) history. These features are related to heart health. Apple Watch has also been helpful in saving many lives.

In May, the Apple Watch Series 7 saved the life of a Delhi woman by alerting her to an abnormal heart rhythm. Last year, the Apple Watch helped save the life of a trail runner by calling an ambulance after he collapsed during a run.
