Archana Puran Singh: Archana Puran Singh is once again seen with her laughter in The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2. Along with this, she is also making a comeback in films after four years. The actress will be seen in ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ with Rajkummar Rao and Trupti Dimri. In an interview, Archana revealed that she had left many films for Kapil’s show.
Why was Archana Puran Singh not doing films for many years?,
In fact, during an interview with News18 Shosha, Archana revealed that her long break from films was largely due to the busy schedule of The Kapil Sharma Show, when it aired on television. Archana said, “When we were on television, we did not get any break. We enjoyed doing episodes again and again and we got a lot of riyaaz (practice). The entire team was always energetic, but I had to reject many film offers. Now, I am excited that I have time to accept films.
Why did you have to reject film offers?
Archana further said, “Vashu ji and many other producers and directors had offered me projects. Nowadays, more films are shot abroad than in India, so there is always a balance to be struck. I often got calls to come to Scotland for a 20-day schedule. But I used to reply, ‘I can commit only if you are shooting in Mumbai.’ Some shoots were in Mauritius, some in Australia, and we used to shoot Kapil’s show two or three times a week. Even if a film was being shot in Mumbai, sometimes I had to say no. Now, I am happy that there is a better balance.
No regrets about turning down films
Despite rejecting many film offers, the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ actress has no regrets. He said, “There are no regrets. I enjoyed this journey a lot and I am enjoying this new chapter equally.
