Are courses like 10 days MBA actually happening or a new way of cheating, know what UGC said on this?


Today, there are many online courses running, some of which are fake. In such a situation, UGC has asked the public to be cautious about such courses. The University Grants Commission has advised to be cautious of fake online programs with abbreviations similar to recognized degrees. UGC has especially advised people to avoid 10 day MBA courses.

On behalf of Manish Joshi, Secretary, University Grants Commission, it has been said that some individuals or institutions are offering small online courses and programs like degree programs recognized by the higher education system. One of those courses is 10 day MBA. The UGC Secretary said that the naming of a degree, including its abbreviation, duration and entry qualifications, is done by the UGC through the publication of a notification in the Official Gazette with the prior approval of the Central Government. h3 style="text-align: justify;">What are the rules?

Manish Joshi, Secretary, University Grants Commission, also said that only universities or institutions established under a Central Act, Provincial Act, State Act or thereunder, corporate universities, universities or institutions specially empowered by an Act of Parliament have the right to grant degrees.  As per UGC rules, it is also very important to obtain approval from UGC to offer any online degree program.

List exists

Secretary Manish Joshi has said that the list of online programs recognized by higher education institutions is available on the UGC website. Therefore, before applying or taking admission in any online program, students should ensure the validity of that online program.
