They sell 100 plates of Moong Bada every day. The price of one plate of Moong Bada is Rs 30, which means they earn Rs 3000 a day only by selling Moong Bada. Second breakfast has a separate income.
Recipe to make Moong Bada
Employee Tiwari Soni said that to make Moong Bada, preparation has to be done in advance. Moong dal is soaked for about four hours and then it is milled with the help of a machine. Add ginger, garlic paste, green chilli, coriander leaves, soda and salt and mix well. After this, oil is heated in the pan and small pieces are fried.
He has a tea and snack shop in Raipur Civil Line area. Moong Bada is in great demand here. Every day, 100 plates of Moong Bada Raipurians eat five kilos of Moong Badayani pulses. The price of one plate of Moong Bada is Rs 30. There is a government office and old police headquarters in Civil Line area, hence even officers and employees come to this shop to taste Moong Badaka.
