Arvind Kejriwal will now have to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Rouse Avenue Court has directed Arvind Kejriwal, who has ignored ED notices five times, to appear before the investigating agency. After ignoring the ED notice five times, the agency had moved the court, hearing which the court directed Kejriwal to appear before the agency on February 17. Just before the Lok Sabha elections, now Arvind Kejriwal will have to answer the agency’s questions in the liquor scam.

ED’s investigation on solid grounds- BJP

BJP may try to make it an election issue. It can have an impact in Delhi as well as Punjab. As soon as the court’s instructions came out, BJP has said that now all the options for avoiding investigation have been exhausted before Arvind Kejriwal. Now he will have to tell the truth of the liquor scam to the court and the public. BJP has also said that the court has ordered them to appear before the ED, accepting the same grounds as true on which the Aam Aadmi Party had been calling the ED investigation politically motivated. This proves that the ED investigation is being conducted on solid grounds.

your allegations

The Aam Aadmi Party has been continuously alleging that the Enforcement Directorate’s investigation into the liquor scam is politically motivated. He says that efforts are being made to implicate Arvind Kejriwal at the behest of BJP to stop him from election campaign. The party has also described the liquor scam as a complete bundle of lies. However, Aam Aadmi Party says that it will challenge this order of Rouse Avenue court in the sessions court.

ED-CBI became puppets- AAP leader

Aam Aadmi Party leader Jasmine Shah has said after the direction of Rouse Avenue Court came out that BJP has made the investigating agencies ED and CBI into puppets to spread sensation. He has alleged that just to create sensation, ED is sent to investigate every morning. He has alleged that its aim is to tarnish the image of Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal.

Estimate of impact on Delhi-Punjab

Arvind Kejriwal is the biggest face of Aam Aadmi Party. The entire election campaign of the party has revolved around him. Along with Lok Sabha elections, he is also seen in the role of the biggest star campaigner in the Assembly elections. The party fights almost all elections on their Delhi model of governance. In such a situation, if the investigation affects him, it may affect the electoral prospects of the Aam Aadmi Party. But just as the investigation has fallen on Aam Aadmi Party’s Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, many of its leaders have not yet been able to come out of the liquor scam investigation, it is believed that Kejriwal’s problems may also increase.

Now respect the court Kejriwal- BJP

At the same time, BJP has said that it now hopes that Arvind Kejriwal will now respect the court’s decision and will appear before the ED and face the investigation. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, commenting on the instructions given by the Rouse Avenue court on his appearance, said that if even now Arvind Kejriwal does not appear before the ED, it would only mean that he is the mastermind of the liquor scam.

Sachdeva has said that Arvind Kejriwal has been continuously declaring himself innocent. They have been blaming ED for becoming a weapon of BJP. But today the court, accepting the same arguments of ED as correct, has ordered Kejriwal to appear before ED. This shows that the questions being raised by the Aam Aadmi Party on the ED investigation were baseless.
