The court has extended the remand of Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor scam case by four days i.e. till April 1. Meanwhile, BJP has asked some serious questions to the Aam Aadmi Party, after the answer to which some AAP leaders may face problems. BJP has asked this question to the Aam Aadmi Party leaders that how did they get the letter from Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail under the arrest of the Enforcement Directorate?
Actually, before this Amar Ujala had talked to the experts of the Constitution. He believed that a person in jail under the custody of the Enforcement Directorate cannot correspond. Even a person holding public office is not allowed to issue such orders and instructions after being in jail.
But meanwhile, BJP has made the situation uncomfortable for Arvind Kejriwal by asking five questions. Bharatiya Janata Party President Virendra Sachdeva held a press conference on Thursday and asked Aam Aadmi Party leaders that the people of Delhi want to know from Minister Atishi that where did the letter which she showed as Chief Minister Kejriwal’s letter come to her? Who gave him that letter?
Senior lawyers Abha Singh and Ashwini Upadhyay believe that in special circumstances, a person in jail is allowed to write or sign a letter, but for this prior permission is taken from the authorities. The jail authorities are given complete information about this. If Arvind Kejriwal has written letters or signed them without permission, then a new case can be registered against him.
‘This will be fraud’
At the same time, if any person has made public a letter without Arvind Kejriwal’s signature in the media by claiming it to be his, it falls under the category of crime like fraud and in this case a case can be registered under appropriate sections. However, what actually happened in this case can be said only after investigation.
BJP asked these questions
BJP has also asked whether it is morally right to run the government from jail? BJP leaders have said that Kejriwal should show the example of any one Chief Minister or Prime Minister in the world who has run the government from jail? Also raising questions on the practicality of running the government from jail, BJP has asked whether it would be practical.
Questions on Raghav Chaddha’s meeting with Preet Kaur Gill
The party has asked that if running the government from jail is morally appropriate, then Kejriwal should explain why he took the resignation of his two ministers Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia. BJP alleges that a case of Arvind Kejriwal communicating with people associated with terrorist organizations has come to light.
A video of a person associated with a terrorist organization is public, who is talking about having links with them and giving them money. BJP has asked why Kejriwal or Aam Aadmi Party is not refuting it? Apart from this, BJP has also raised questions on AAP MP Raghav Chadha’s meeting with MP Preet Kaur Gill in London.
