Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who came out on bail from Tihar Jail two days ago, has announced that he will resign in two days. He will not recommend dissolution of Delhi Assembly. Instead, a new leader will be elected in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Legislature Party meeting on Tuesday. After this, the process of formation of a new government in Delhi will begin. Kejriwal has made it clear that the party’s number two and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is out of the race for this post. Both the leaders will hold constitutional posts only after winning the elections.

Earlier, while addressing AAP workers at the party office on Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal said that he will resign from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi after two days. Until the public gives its verdict that he is honest, he will not sit on the CM’s chair. Kejriwal also made it clear that Manish Sisodia has also decided the same decision. He will also take up the post of Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister only when the public will give him a certificate of honesty by making him win the election. Soon the name of the next Chief Minister of Delhi will be decided in the Legislative Party meeting. Along with this, he demanded from the central government that the Delhi Assembly elections should also be held along with Maharashtra in November.
