Asaduddin Owaisi: The results of Haryana Assembly elections have come. The people of Haryana believed that Congress government would be formed in Haryana, but it did not happen. In front of these results, all the exit polls proved to be a failure. Meanwhile, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has targeted Congress regarding the election results. Addressing a public meeting in Vikarabad, Telangana on Friday night (11 October 2024), Owaisi said, “To defeat BJP, the old party will have to take everyone along.”
Owaisi said, ‘PM Modi won the Haryana elections by mistake. How to win? I was not there at all, otherwise they would have called us the B team. He also said that many people asked me to contest the elections there, but I refused and said that we will sit and watch the show.
Owaisi’s taunt on Congress’s defeat in Haryana
Owaisi said, “I want to tell the Congress that the party should try to understand my point. There is still time, if Modi has to be defeated then everyone will have to be taken along. You cannot do anything alone.” BJP scored a hat-trick in the assembly and won a landslide victory and dashed the hopes of Congress’s comeback. According to Haryana Assembly election results, out of 90 assembly seats, BJP won 37 seats and Congress 37, which is much more than the magic figure of 46 to form the government.
Congress leader Udit Raj hit back
Congress leader Udit Raj hit back at AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement and said, “The whole world knows that there are some parties, including AIMIM, which criticize BJP, but in reality they are its B team.” BJP will not get candidates everywhere. So, everyone knows who is the B team and who is not. It is not right for us to answer this.
