To score a hattrick of victories in the Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP will not shy away from giving tickets to relatives of leaders who have the potential to win. In this sequence, relatives of many leaders including the daughter of Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh will get tickets. To prevent anti-incumbency, the party has decided to deny tickets to at least one and a half dozen MLAs. The party’s Central Election Committee will meet on Sunday to brainstorm on the names of candidates.

To decide the candidates for the assembly elections, the party has conducted a survey of all 90 seats in the state. Party sources said that in the survey, while there is deep resentment against many MLAs at the local level, many MLAs do not fit into the social equations of the seat. In such a situation, the party leadership plans to give a chance to new faces on more than 15 won seats.

The stance on nepotism will be soft

In the assembly elections, Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh and former minister Kiran Chaudhary, who joined BJP from Congress and became a Rajya Sabha candidate, are seeking tickets for their daughters, Union Minister Krishnapal Gurjar and MP Dharamvir, Kuldeep Bishnoi are seeking tickets for their sons, Ramesh Kaushik for his brother, Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta for his nephew. The number of such leaders seeking tickets for their relatives is a little more than a dozen.
