Delhi CM Atishi On Bus Marshals: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi fiercely targeted BJP on the issue of ‘bus marshals’, calling it anti-poor. He alleged that thousands of people have become unemployed due to BJP and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. The bus marshals are again protesting for their reinstatement after their services were terminated by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena in October last year.
According to the report of news agency ANI, while addressing ‘Janata Ki Adalat’ in Delhi on Sunday (October 6), CM Atishi said, “On one side there is Arvind Kejriwal who works for the poor and common people of Delhi. On the other side, BJP is an anti-poor party which works to harass the poor.”
BJP is making people homeless- Atishi
He alleged, “In the last few years, the BJP central government has been demolishing slums in every part of Delhi, making people homeless, pensions of the elderly and poor widows have been stopped for 6 months. It is not unknown how the BJP government and its LG took away the jobs of 10,000 poor bus marshals, made them homeless and did not even spare them the expenses of running their houses.

The Delhi CM further said, “BJP is an anti-poor party because their children can become BCCI president and our children cannot even hold the post of bus marshal. This is the dirty politics of BJP.” Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and other party members, who were protesting at Chandgiram Akhara in Delhi demanding reinstatement of marshals in buses, were taken into custody by the police on Thursday.
Let us tell you that last month, the Chief Minister of Delhi Atishiwho was a cabinet minister at the time, had written a letter to Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena requesting him to restore the jobs of bus marshals. LG VK Saxena met the protesting bus marshals at his office in the national capital on Saturday.
The Delhi Chief Minister sarcastically said that earlier, children from poor families had to go to government schools which were in poor condition and the government hospitals in the city were so bad that people had to mortgage their property for treatment. Arvind Kejriwal has changed the lives of Delhiites. This is now the only city where there is 24/7 electricity and yet the electricity bill is zero.
