On May 13 evening, in Atrauli Nagar of Aligarh district, a bike rider tried to kidnap the eight-year-old granddaughter of Dr. Anwar Khan, former MLA of Atrauli, who was returning home after studying tuition. When the girls raised an alarm, the bike rider ran away. This incident created panic in the town and the police administration. The police is trying to identify the miscreants with the help of CCTV. The criminal’s face and bike have been captured in CCTV. The girls are scared after the incident.
The 12-year-old daughter of Shakib Anwar Khan, the second son of former Atrauli MLA Dr. Anwar Khan, studies in class VIII in a school in Aligarh. The daughter along with some other girl students studies tuition near the Basua temple of Atrauli. On the evening of 13 May, a person riding a bike reached the house of a tuition teacher near Basua temple and asked whether Shakib Anwar Khan’s son takes tuition at your place? So the teacher told that his daughter comes for tuition and not his son. After this the bike rider left from there and started waiting for the girl to return on the way.
Around 5.05 pm, four girl students were returning home after tuition, when a bike rider came near them and called their daughter’s name and said, sit on the bike quickly, your father has called home. When the student refused to go with him, he started trying to forcibly take her away. When other girl students raised an alarm, a woman working there ran with a stick and the bike rider ran away. The news of the kidnapping attempt created panic in the town. Police also arrived on information and CCTVs installed at the shops were checked. In which a suspect was seen who is being identified. Shakib Anwar Khan had contested the assembly elections from Atrauli in the year 2012.
