A newly married woman died under suspicious circumstances in a village of Phaphund police station area in Auraiya district. After taking the in-laws to the doctor, they left the dead body outside the house and ran away. People from her maternal side, who reached the information, have accused her of murder by poisoning if their demand of Rs 2 lakh was not met. On the complaint of the deceased’s father, the police have registered a case of dowry death against the in-laws. Also the body has been sent for postmortem.

Saheb Singh Dohre, resident of Fakkadpur village of Phaphund police station area, married his daughter 24-year-old Sunita to Dashrath, resident of Tikampur village of the same police station area, on 14 May 2021. The father alleged that after the marriage, the in-laws kept harassing the daughter by demanding cash of Rs 2 lakh. On Monday evening, her in-laws beat her daughter and made her drink poison. On receiving this information, when he reached the daughter’s in-laws house, the daughter was not there.

After finding out, they reached Auraiya Sai Clinic. Where the daughter was in an unconscious state. Seeing the family members, the son-in-law and in-laws ran away with the daughter in the car, saying that they would take her for treatment. Seeing the situation worsening, the hospital staff also fled. He searched for his daughter the whole night but could not find any information. On Tuesday morning, the villager told that his daughter’s body was lying outside the house in Tikampur. On which he reached the village along with the police.

Where the daughter’s body was lying under the thatch and the in-laws were absconding. CO Ajitmal Ram Mohan Sharma and police station incharge Gangadas Gautam also reached the spot. After investigation, the police sent the body for post-mortem. The deceased’s father has filed a complaint against son-in-law Dashrath Singh, father-in-law Brajesh, mother-in-law Shanti Devi, brother-in-law Shivkaran, Jaiveer Singh and sister-in-law Rajni for killing his daughter by poisoning her for demanding cash. Police Station President Ganga Das Gautam said that information about the fight has been received. On the basis of father’s complaint, a case of dowry death has been registered against the in-laws. Efforts are being made to arrest everyone soon.
