BJP leader and outgoing MP from Aurangabad Sushil Kumar Singh has accused the police of his own coalition government in Bihar of adopting double standards. He discussed the Nabinagar student murder case in a press conference here on Friday. During this, without naming any caste, he said that he has no hesitation in saying that the attitude and character of the police is double. The question is not whose government it is. The question is about the incident. If the incident has happened, then the police should do its work impartially and quickly, but this is not happening.

Sushil Kumar Singh said that the police takes even simple arguments, abuses and fights of other castes seriously, even filing false cases. They immediately take action. The action of the police is worth watching. But in the case of other castes, the police becomes lax. In such cases, the police is not as active as it should be. It is said that the police is doing its work, but transparency should be seen in the work. It should be seen with evidence. It should be seen what action was taken. He said that if the media takes the reaction of the police in this case, then the police’s standard answer will be that the police is working with complete impartiality. How the police is not impartial can be seen in different cases. The police is in different modes in different incidents. It has different views in the case of different castes and communities.

BJP leader Singh said that the police should have shown its promptness and bravery in the Nabinagar student murder case as well, but it has not been seen so far. He said that there is still time, the police should be alert and create such an environment that people can feel safe in sending their daughters out of the house. We want peace and order to remain in the society. The law should do its work impartially. Law and order should be fully under control. He said that in the Nabinagar student murder case, the police was very negligent initially. Due to this, the general public was angry, but the public showed restraint. There was a restrained protest. The police station was not set on fire. Public property was not damaged. No one’s personal property was damaged. This was a natural protest.

The outgoing MP said that he is with the victim’s family with full strength in their fight for justice. On Thursday evening also he went to Nabinagar and met the victim’s family. He consoled the family. For this reason, he requests the police to do their work properly and with complete impartiality. All the criminals involved in the incident should be caught and punished.
