AUS vs WI 1st Test: The Adelaide Test played between Australia and West Indies could not last even for two and a half days. The result of this match came in the first session of the third day itself. Thanks to Shamar Joseph’s 5 wickets, the Australian team also could not take a huge lead and was all out at 283. Travis Head scored a wonderful century (119) for Australia.

Till now the match was a good contest but in the second innings the batting order of West Indies fell apart like a house of cards. By the end of the day’s play, the West Indies team had lost 6 wickets for just 73 runs. The remaining four wickets fell at the beginning of the third day itself. Apart from Kirk McKenzie (26) and Justin Greaves (24), no other batsman could cross the 20 mark in the second innings of the Windies. The visiting team could score only 120 runs in this innings. Here Josh Hazlewood took 5 wickets.

Australia got a target of 26 runs to win, which was easily achieved. However, during this time Usman Khawaja got badly injured and had to retire hurt. In this way, Australia has taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series.
