Ayodhya Tightens Security: Security arrangements have been tightened in the Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya after a fresh audio message by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu threatening attacks on November 16 and 17. As soon as this threat came to light, the police and administration have started preparations to be completely alert. Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has threatened to attack the Ram temple in Ayodhya this time. Pannu’s organization demands Khalistan to separate Punjab from India and has issued such threats several times before.
Ayodhya Range Inspector General of Police (IG) Praveen Kumar said Ayodhya is already under tight security cover and police and paramilitary forces have been prepared to counter any terrorist attack round the clock. He also said that the police is investigating the authenticity of Pannu’s threat message going viral.
Threats have been made before
A police officer said that such videos have surfaced earlier also, in which Khalistani terrorists and other terrorist organizations had threatened bomb blasts and suicide attacks in Ayodhya. However, security agencies have always been successful in thwarting these threats.
Arrests have already been made
Earlier on January 18, Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) had arrested three suspects who had links with Khalistani terrorist organizations. These suspects were doing recce before the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. These suspects were identified as Shankar Dusad alias Shankar Jajod, Ajit Kumar Sharma and Pradeep Punia from Rajasthan.
After this arrest, another audio message came to light, in which Pannu addressed the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath On January 22, he was warned of facing its consequences and said that Ram Mandir The establishment of will not be able to save them. Security arrangements are already tight in Ayodhya, but continuous threats from Khalistani terrorist organizations remain a challenge for the security agencies. In this situation, the police and administration are facing the situation with full alertness.
