After the student movement against her government, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 and went to India.

There is no division among people in the country- Mohammad Yunus

At the same time, the Chief Advisor Office (CAO) quoted Mohammad Yunus as saying, “There can be no division among people in our country. Because, we are equal citizens. The interim government has stood firmly to protect the rights of every citizen of the country.” Mohammad Yunus expressed hope that he would create such a Bangladesh. Where everyone can follow their religion without any fear and where there is no need to protect any temple.

Yunus’ office quoted him on X as saying that Bangladesh is a big family where the government’s responsibility is to protect the rights of every citizen. Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad chairman Bashudeb Dhar, Dhaka Ramakrishna Mission chief Swami Purnatmananda Maharaj and Hindu community leaders including Kajol Debnath and Monindra Kumar Nath were present during the meeting.

Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad president Bashudeb Dhar said that we talked to Professor Yunus for about an hour. He said that all Bangladeshis are members of the same family. In such a situation, we will eliminate any feeling of communalism.
