Bangladesh General Election Likely to be Held in 2025 Interim Government Advisor

Only he has the authority to declare it.” Actually, Bangladesh is currently going through an unstable political situation. In the first week of August, the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to leave the country. Currently she is living in India.

Sheikh Hasina had to resign due to protests to abolish the quota system. After some time, this protest took the form of violence. During this turmoil, Bangladesh witnessed several violent incidents and anarchy targeting minorities, especially Hindus. More than 600 people died during the protests and clashes. Subsequently, on August 8, Nobel Prize-winning economist Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the head of the interim government of Bangladesh. At the same time, the interim government has expanded the powers of the army to ensure the internal security of the country.
