Bangladesh on rohingya: Mohammad Yunus, advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, gave a statement about Rohingya. He claimed about the plight of the Rohingya people that these people are victims of racial discrimination. On Friday (21 March 2025) on the International Racery Discrimination Day, Mohammad Yunus said that since 2017, Bangladesh has given shelter to more than 10 lakh migrants, but going back to Myanmar again is a permanent solution to this problem.

Bangladesh engaged in sending Rohingya back

According to a Dhaka Tribune report, Mohammad Yunus called upon the countries of the world to actively join Rohingya back to his own country Myanmar. He also said that this process should be ensured as soon as possible. He committed to fight racism, racial discrimination, hatred towards a country and all kinds of intolerance related to it. This year, there is a 60th anniversary to adopt the International Convention (ICERD) on the elimination of all types of racial discrimination.

UN shocks Bangladesh

Bangladesh is currently troubled by the expenditure on Rohingya. The United Nations will reduce food funds from $ 12.50 to $ 6 per month for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh next month. This is being done because the UN is not getting funds. By doing this, the threat of starvation in the world’s largest refugee township (Rohingya) has started hovering.

According to the report of the news agency Reuters, the World Food Program (WFP) said that it was trying to raise money to keep the price of ration at $ 12.50 per month, but it could not get funding from many countries of the world. After this, United Nations (UN) General Secretary Antonio Guterres visited Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh on 13 March 2025.
