And the third discussion is from Sheikh Hasina’s arch rival and former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Khaleda Zia. Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is confident that ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return to Bangladesh.

Many cases were registered against Sheikh Hasina

Since the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina, thousands of cases have been registered against her party workers and supporters and hundreds have been arrested. After this, the interim government of Mohammad Yunus has registered cases against the Awami League as well as its patrons.

An International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) was established by Sheikh Hasina in 2009 to try war crimes committed during Bangladesh’s 1971 liberation war. Which this week has issued summons against 20 people including his close associates, including former army chief Ziaul Ahsan, 10 former ministers, a retired army officer. It also includes the names of Bangladesh Supreme Court judge and two advisors of Sheikh Hasina. According to Bangladeshi media reports, all these people have been asked to appear before the court on 18 and 20 November.

Awami Chhatra League also banned

Amid political instability in Bangladesh, the interim government of Mohammad Yunus recently banned the Awami Chhatra League, the student wing of the Awami League.
