Hind Agro Industries Limited, the district’s first meat exporting company located at Chherat on Aligarh-Anupshahar Road, has been declared bankrupt for not paying the loan of Bank of Baroda. On August 12, on the instructions of NCL Court (National Company Law Court), the bank took over the company in the presence of police. During this, the employees came in protest against the action. They started a ruckus by demanding payment of old dues. ADM City Amit Kumar Bhatt said that the court order has been complied with. Some employees of the company did come in protest, but they were pacified after being explained.
Hind Agro Meat Export has been one of the famous companies of Aligarh. Meat was supplied from here to foreign countries. The company was closed for a long time on the charges of irregularities. The company was declared bankrupt for not paying a huge amount in the form of bank loan. Regarding this, Bank of Baroda also tried to settle the matter with the company under OTS (One Time Settlement Scheme).
After this, a suit was filed in NCL court demanding ownership in favour of the bank. The two-member bench of NCL court comprising Praveen Gupta (Judicial) and Ashish Verma (Technical) heard the case. The bench passed an order in favour of the bank. In which RP Paramjit Singh Bhatia was given the authority to take control of all the assets of corporate liability including the business records of the company.
After this, the bank representatives arrived to take possession of Hind Agro Industries Limited Company, but the process of taking possession could not be completed due to the protest of the company employees. The court ordered the DM and SSP to get the possession. A heavy police force under the leadership of ASP Amrit Jain, Naib Tehsildar Kol Ratan Kumar got the possession in favor of the bank. During this, people from the company’s owner side were present.
