Banking Rights Of Indian Citizens Bank Loans Credit Cards Deposits RBI Guidelines

Banking Rights: Almost every person in India has a bank account, in which he keeps his savings and withdraws it when needed. The salary of employed people is also transferred to the bank account, after which they meet all their expenses from it. In the last few years, technology has grown so rapidly that now all the banking work can be done sitting at home, although many people still go to the bank to settle their financial work. Especially retired elderly people are seen in abundance in banks. Today we are telling you what rights you get in banks.

Rules have been made for banks

Actually, some rules have been set for banks by the Reserve Bank of India. In which it has been told what facilities should be provided to the customers coming to the bank. There is a similar rule that if any bank employee is unnecessarily harassing you then you can complain about it, the concerned officer will have to take action on it and you will also be given receipt.

No bank can stop you from opening an account there. That means, if you have proper documents and Indian citizenship then you can open your account in any bank. If this does not happen, you can lodge a complaint.

  • If the amount in BSBD i.e. Basic account has become zero then the bank cannot close your account.
  • If you get your bank account reopened, the bank cannot charge you any fees.
  • If someone has given you a torn or old note, you can go to the bank and get it changed, the bank cannot refuse to change it.
  • Banks have to provide all types of transaction facilities to the elderly and disabled at a single window.
  • If check collection takes more time than the stipulated time, the bank has to pay compensation to the customers.
  • If someone has given security while taking a loan from the bank, then he should get the security back within 15 days of fully repaying the loan.
  • The bank cannot refuse anyone to withdraw the term deposit prematurely. You can withdraw it before the completion of the term.
  • If the card assigned by the bank is activated without your consent and money is withdrawn from it in any way, then you will get double compensation.
