Eight candidates are contesting for the post of General Secretary in the Bar Association elections. Some have 36 years of advocacy experience while others are trying their luck in the electoral arena for the first time with their determination to work in the interest of advocates. At the same time, there are some candidates who have already been officials in the executive of the Bar or Lawyers Association and are eager to give the benefit of their experience to the advocates. All the candidates are visiting the lawyers’ chambers and their homes in the court and appealing for votes in their favor.

Political Experience: Has been Vice President in both Bar and Lawyers Association.
Priority: Will create harmony between bar and bench, will provide collective insurance to lawyers. A committee will be formed to stop the police-lawyer conflict along with the construction of the chamber.

Advocacy Experience: 36 years
Political Experience: Has been Minister in Bar Association and General Secretary in Lawyers Association.
Priority: To solve the housing problem of advocates, they will set up Advyaktapuram, construct chambers to sit in the court, and provide incentive money to the youth.
