Team India Selection Committee: The appointment of the All India Senior Men’s Selection Committee (Team India Selection Committee) has been announced by the Cricket Board of India (BCCI). In this, once again Chetan Sharma has been made the head of the selection committee. A few days ago, the selection committee headed by him was dismissed. However, once again this committee has been formed under his chairmanship.

BCCI had received a total of 600 applications

The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sulakshana Naik, Ashok Malhotra and Jatin Paranjpe began the extensive process to select the members of the All India Senior Selection Committee. A total of 600 applications were received by the BCCI for the five posts in the selection committee. Advertisement for these posts was given by the board on November 18, 2022. After due deliberation and careful consideration, the CAC shortlisted 11 persons for interview.

Based on the interview, the Cricket Advisory Committee recommended these candidates for the Senior Men’s National Selection Committee. Chetan Sharma, Shiv Sundar Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola and Sreedharan Sarat were selected in this. In this, Chetan Sharma was made the chairman of the committee.

After the poor performance of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup in 2022, the selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma was sacked. This decision was taken in view of the poor performance of the team at that time. But once again a senior selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma has been formed. The Cricket Advisory Committee formed this committee through interviews. In this, out of total 11 people, five have been assigned this responsibility.
