Actually, BCCI has taken this decision to maintain the balance between bat and ball in T20 format. The BCCI Apex Council meeting was held on Saturday. After this the BCCI issued a statement. In its statement, the BCCI said that in order to maintain the balance between the bat and the ball, the BCCI has decided to allow two bouncers per over in the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Let us tell that till now only one bouncer was allowed in an over, but now in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy bowlers will be able to bowl 2 bouncers per over.

What did BCCI say in its statement?

The BCCI said in its statement that the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will start from October 16. The rule of ‘Impact Player’ will also apply in this tournament. Apart from this, it has been agreed to improve the stadiums across the country. Actually, there is a lack of basic facilities on many grounds of India. However, in the first phase, the 10 stadiums on which the World Cup 2023 will be played will be renovated. But after this, work will be done to improve the rest of the grounds. Significantly, the World Cup 2023 will be played in Delhi, Dharamshala, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. While practice matches will be played in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram.
