The same quality of sweets is being maintained here since three generations. Not only this, there used to be a supply of sweets from here till the Bihar Vidhansabha. The most special thing about this sweet is that it is supplied on a large scale.

If you do not reach here till 12 noon, then you may not get the sweets here. Actually, there is a shop named Maharaja Sweets in Malaypur market of Jamui, where sweets are being sold for three generations. People here are crazy about the quality and taste. The demand for sweets here is in the entire state. People come from far and wide to buy sweets here. They also get it made by pre-ordering.

Festival special sweets are made
The director of the shop Sanjit Kumar Gupta told that Vrat special sweets are also made in this shop. The sweets prepared here are completely pure. Usually people use flour along with chhena in sweets, but flour is not used in the sweets made here. This is the reason why people use it as a fruit during festivals and fasts.

Life of sweets is 24 hours
It was further told that people eat sweets like Peda, Khowa during the festival, but refrain from eating Chhena. These things are taken full care of in this shop and sweets are prepared keeping this in mind. Told that we make special Chhena sweets which can be eaten during fasting also. Such sweets can be used only for 24 hours. This is the reason that only 18 kg chhena is prepared daily and after the sweets are over, people have to wait till the next day.

Supplies used to happen till Bihar Vidhansabha
Sanjit Kumar told that the sweets of this shop were earlier supplied till the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Told that at the time when Jagannath Mishra was the Chief Minister of Bihar, he was very fond of Chhena of Malaypur and it was supplied from this shop. Told that even today, apart from Jamui, people from many other districts come here to buy sweets and orders are received here on a large scale even in big events. This shop of his has been running continuously for three generations. 50 kg of sweets made from raw chhena are sold daily.
