Essential ingredients for making beetroot paratha

Wheat flour – 3 cups
Grated beetroot – 2 cups
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Celery – 1 tsp
Green chilli – 2 chopped
Cumin – 1 tsp
Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Green coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
Oil – 4 tbsp or as required
Salt – as per taste
Curry leaves- 10-12

Method to make Beetroot Paratha

To make beetroot paratha at home, first take beetroot and clean it thoroughly. Then grate the beetroot. After this, take a pan, add 3 teaspoons of oil and heat it on medium flame. Then add ginger paste and chopped green chillies and fry. After frying for about 1 minute, add grated beetroot and half teaspoon salt. After this, fry for 2 minutes while stirring with a spoon. Then add 2-3 tablespoons water and keep the pan covered for about 1-12 minutes. After this, turn off the gas and cool the mixture. After the mixture cools down, blend it with a mixer. Keep in mind that while slicing the beetroot, a smooth paste has to be prepared.

On the other hand, put wheat flour in a bowl and mix one spoon oil and a pinch of salt in it. Now add cumin, garam masala, dry mango powder, celery to the flour and mix it well. Now add prepared beetroot paste, curry leaves and green coriander leaves. Now knead the dough until it becomes smooth and soft. After this, take balls of the dough in a non-stick pan/griddle and make paratha with a rolling pin. Then put the paratha on the heated pan. For this, first add one spoon of oil and spread it around the paratha, then add the paratha and fry it. After baking for some time, turn the paratha and apply oil on the other side. Cook this paratha from both the sides until it becomes light golden. In this way your beetroot paratha is ready. Now you can serve this paratha to everyone for breakfast.
