Best Gym Tips: Do your muscles ache after returning from the gym? Follow these tips

It is common to have muscle pain in the initial days of joining a gym. This pain remains in the entire body for a few days. Pain is inevitable during running, cycling or weight training. Actually, this happens because whenever we start working out, our muscles are not ready for activity.

For example, when we do weight training for the first time, our muscles are not ready to lift weights. When we suddenly exercise, the body starts getting strained and pressurized. Due to which the body suffers a lot of damage. Due to which pain, swelling and stiffness are felt.

Stretch

It is very important to stretch the muscles after doing gym. Stretching loosens the muscles and reduces the tension in the muscles. When we exercise, our muscles start shrinking. Stretching brings the muscles back to their original position. It improves blood circulation in the muscles. Whenever you cool down after exercising, do stretching for 5-10 minutes. This reduces the pain and fatigue in the muscles.

Keep the body warm

Keeping the muscles warm after exercise provides a lot of relief. Taking a bath with warm water or applying a hot pack relaxes the muscles. Actually, heat increases blood circulation, which provides oxygen as well as nutrients to the muscles in a good way. Apart from this, heat also reduces muscle pain, which eliminates the problem of strain or tightness. Therefore, if your muscles are aching after exercise, then apply a hot pack for 15-20 minutes or take a bath with hot water. This will provide immediate relief.

Massage

When we exercise, our muscles get stretched. Massaging the muscles relieves pain. Nutrients and oxygen reach the muscles easily, which reduces muscle pain. Therefore, if there is pain in the muscles after exercise, then those muscles should be massaged gently for 10-15 minutes. This will give immediate relief. But do not apply too much pressure during the massage.

Drink plenty of water according to your body

It is very important to drink water as per the body’s requirement after exercise. Water helps in keeping the body hydrated and also reduces muscle stiffness. When we exercise, our body sweats, which removes water from the body. Due to lack of water, muscles feel stiff and stretched. Therefore, drinking plenty of water as per the body’s requirement after exercise hydrates the body. Water reduces muscle pain and provides relief."text-align: justify;">Also read: Ladyfinger Face Pack: Okra is not only beneficial for eating but also for the face, use it like this
