A crocodile attacked a girl who had gone fishing in Bettiah. At the same time, the crocodile has badly injured the girl. After the incident, he was taken to PHC Harnatand for first aid. From where the doctors have referred him for better treatment after first aid. After the incident, the family members are in bad condition and crying.
The matter is of Harnatand of Bagaha police district. Where a crocodile suddenly attacked a teenager who had gone fishing in Triveni Canal on Thursday evening. The injured girl has been identified as Sugandha Kumari (14), daughter of Hiralal Musahar, resident of Soharia. The girl was seriously injured in the attack, who was immediately admitted to the local PHC Harnatand, but was referred due to the serious condition.
According to the information received, Sugandha had gone fishing in Triveni Canal on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, suddenly a huge crocodile attacked him. The crocodile was dragging Sugandha into the canal. Sugandha started screaming loudly. Hearing the screaming sounds, the villagers reached the spot and attacked the crocodile with sticks. When the villagers raised an alarm and attacked, the crocodile left her and went back into the canal, but by then had badly injured Sugandha. According to doctors, Sugandha’s right hand was badly damaged by the crocodile. Doctor Rajeev Kumar, who is treating at the sub-divisional hospital, said that there is a lot of damage to his right hand and to save it, he has been referred to Bettiah GMCH after immediate treatment.
Actually, there was terrible flood in the Gandak River, due to which crocodiles have come into the canals from the Gandak River. Such incidents have happened in the Harnatand area before, due to which the people of the area are in panic. The administration has appealed to the villagers to exercise complete caution if they do not go to the canals and banks of the Gandak river. After the incident, the family members are in bad condition and crying. Hiralal Musahar, father of the injured girl, said that due to poverty one has to resort to various tactics like fishing to earn a living and today his daughter, who had gone to earn her living, became a victim of the incident. Thank God very much that we were saved from any major mishap.
