Aasif Sheikh Struggle Story: In the 80’s, a young man came to Bollywood who started his career with TV. After this, he also worked in many films. His career started even before Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan and he did films as a lead actor. But some things happened to him due to which he stopped getting work in films for a few years but then he started as a villain.

This actor appeared as a villain in many films of the 90’s but later he was removed from films. After this, he again started working in the world of TV and today he is famous in every household by the name of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra. Who is Aashif Sheikh?

Asif Sheikh was born in a Muslim family on 11 November 1964 in Delhi. Belonging to a middle class family, Asif’s childhood was spent in Banaras, UP. Here he did his schooling and then obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Khalsa College, Delhi. Asif Sheikh took admission to do a course in hotel management but left his studies midway and joined theatre. In 1989, Asif Sheikh married Zeba Sheikh, with whom he has a son and a daughter.

Early Career of Aashif Sheikh

While doing theatre, Asif Sheikh came to know that P Kumar Vasudev was looking for some actors for his TV serial ‘Hum Log’. Asif told in one of his interviews that when he reached there, about 500-600 people were already present there. He thought that nothing would happen to him here and the screen test also did not go well. But he got a call and he got a role.

After this, he signed 10 to 12 films back to back. During the same period, Salman Khan’s film Biwi Ho To Aisi was released and his work in it was not even noticed. It is said that when Salman had only two-three films, Asif had 9 films. Shahrukh Khan Whatever position he had at that time was on TV. Asif was good looking and also acted well but he had to suffer due to his non-filmy background.

Later he did not get films for a few years but in 1994 he got the film Karan Arjun but he had the role of a villain’s son in it. Asif did not have any work so he took it as a challenge and completed it. His character was also liked a lot and after this Asif worked as a villain in some films.

Why did Aashif Sheikh quit films?

Aashif Sheikh did some films with David Dhawan. These include ‘Banarasi Babu’, ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’, ‘Kunwara’ and ‘Jodi No. 1’ but the problem was that he was made to shoot long scenes and his work was edited a lot in the film. Aashif Sheikh felt bad about this and he decided that he will no longer work in films because of such behavior.

In 1999, Asif Sheikh got a show named ‘Yash Boss’. In which he became popular and after this Asif started appearing in some TV serials. These include ‘Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai’, ‘Mili’, ‘Dil Mil Gaye’. In the year 2015, Asif Sheikh’s luck once again turned and he got the comedy serial ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’.

That serial is still running and Aashif Sheikh has become famous in every household as Vibhuti Narayan Mishra. However, Aashif does a few films in between. In the last few years, Aashif’s films like ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Bharat’ have been released.
