On Monday, a patient admitted to a drug de-addiction center near Bholanath bridge in Ishakchak police station area in Bhagalpur died during treatment at Sadar Hospital. After this, the family members created a ruckus from the hospital to the drug de-addiction center. During this, the family members created a ruckus for hours and accused the drug de-addiction center operator of murder by beating him.
The patient’s family alleges that the patient was first beaten up and there are many injury marks on his body. When the patient’s condition worsened, the workers working at the de-addiction center admitted him to Sadar Hospital. Where other doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Amresh Kumar (36), a resident of Golpara in Madhepura district.
On receiving the information of the incident, the deceased’s wife Khushi Kumari and her family reached the spot. Then they created a ruckus in the hospital for hours. The deceased’s wife Khushi alleged that her husband was brutally beaten up by the people at the de-addiction centre. Then his health deteriorated, which led to his death. The deceased’s wife has accused the people at the de-addiction centre of murder. She further said that when I went to Sadar Hospital to look for my husband, I found him after a lot of searching. Many injury marks were also seen on his body. Action should be taken against the accused, I want justice.
It is noteworthy that on June 25, the said patient was admitted to a private de-addiction center located at Pasi Tola. Since then, he was undergoing treatment. On Monday, his condition deteriorated, after which the workers of the de-addiction center admitted him to Sadar Hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead.
At the same time, the deceased’s brother Brajesh Kumar has accused three doctors there, Gyan Ranjan, CK Singh and Mohammad Afroz, of beating him to death. While the operator has fled from the spot. Meanwhile, on getting information about the incident, Ishakchak police station has started investigating the case.
