Bhai Dooj Puja: Bhai Dooj is the festival of the last day of the five-day Diwali festival. Bhai Dooj is celebrated on the second day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Story of Yama and Yami

After this, when Yamraj asked sister Yamuna to ask for a boon, Yamuna said, you come to my house every year on this day and any sister who applies tilak to her brother on this day will not be afraid of you. Hearing the words of sister Yamuna, Yamraj was very happy and blessed her. Bhai Dooj festival started from this day. Bathing in the Yamuna river on this day has great significance because it is said that brothers and sisters who bathe in the Yamuna river on the occasion of Bhai Dooj attain virtue.
Story of Lord Shri Krishna and Subhadra
According to another legend, on the day of Bhai Dooj, Lord Shri Krishna returned to Dwarka after killing the demon Narakasura. On this day, Lord Krishna’s sister Subhadra welcomed him by offering fruits, flowers, sweets and lighting many lamps. Subhadra had applied tilak on the forehead of Lord Shri Krishna and wished for his long life. From this day itself, on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, sisters apply tilak on the forehead of their brothers and in return brothers give them gifts.
