Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ will enter Bihar on January 29. It will cover four districts in three days. During this time, top leaders of ‘India’ can join him in public meetings. Congress party made this announcement in Patna on Monday.
In a press conference at the historic Sadakat Ashram, the headquarters of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee, senior leader and MLC Prem Chandra Mishra said that Gandhi will reach Kishanganj district from Siliguri in West Bengal. Then he will talk to the public and after night rest, he will leave for Purnia the next day.
The Congress leader said that a big rally has been planned in Purnia. Invitations have been sent to our colleagues from ‘India’ like Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who have agreed to come. In case he gets stuck elsewhere, the JDU president has assured that a senior leader will be sent to represent his party.
He said an invitation has been extended to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, a staunch ally of Congress, who can attend the rally to be held in Purnia or Katihar on January 31 as per his availability in view of the ED summons.
Notably, the Enforcement Directorate summoned Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, to its office in Patna on January 29 and 30 respectively for questioning in connection with the alleged land for job scam.
