The cart takes some time but all the goods are sold within no time and the shopkeeper returns home with his pockets filled.

This cart of Bhelpuri belongs to Ganesh Kumar. They set up stalls every evening near Hathua Market of Chapra. Come at 12 noon and return at 8 pm. Local people say that due to the establishment of Bhelpuri stall here, the beauty of this square has increased.

People who are enjoying Bhelpuri say that many items are available in fast food. But Bhelpuri has its own fun. Its taste is quite strong. Delicious Bhelpuri available in Maharashtra is now available in Hathua Market of Chhapra. Ganesh Kumar prepares delicious Bhelpuri by adding salt, red chilli, cumin, cloves, asafoetida, cinnamon, black pepper, dry mango powder, puffed rice and namkeen.

Shopkeeper Ganesh Kumar says that my brother learned the method of making Bhelpuri from Maharashtra. After that he started selling a cart in Patna. When the business took off there, we started selling carts in Chapra also. This worked here also. Since 2017, I have been making Bhelpuri and feeding it to people. A plate of Bhelpuri is served for Rs 25. Earning of Rs 2 to 2500 per day. Local shopkeeper Sohail Ahmed Hashmi says that this square of Hathua Market has become famous because of Ganesh’s Bhelpuri. People come here from far and wide to eat Bhelpuri.
