Please inform that Neelam Devi, sister-in-law of Arrah-Buxar JDU EMLC Radha Charan Sah, contested for the post of Mayor of Arrah Municipal Corporation, but the people of Arrah completely rejected her. During the election, from road shows to many public meetings, Bhasur i.e. JDU EMLC Radha Charan Sah did it. During the election campaign, Radha Charan had also claimed the victory of his Bhava, but the public gave a different result.
Bhava Neelam Devi of EMLSI got only one thousand 820 votes. Similarly, Shobha Devi, the wife of Male MLA Sudama Prasad, was also a contender for the post of Mayor from Arrah Municipal Corporation, but the people of Arrah rejected her and she got only 1 thousand 863 votes.
During the election of Shobha Devi, not openly, but from the side her MLA husband was campaigning continuously. However, there was no election campaign by any party in Bihar, due to which the Male MLA did not openly hold any public meeting or campaign for his wife. But contesting the election of the MLA’s wife had become a topic of much discussion among the general public.
Talking about another contender for the post of mayor of Arrah Municipal Corporation after two veteran leaders, Sweety Kumari, considered very close to Bihar’s Environment Minister Tej Pratap Yadav, was also the mayor candidate of Arrah Municipal Corporation. But Sweety Kumari did not get any advantage of Tej Pratap’s identity and could get only two thousand 646 votes from the people of Arrah.
However, Sweety Kumari was considered to be a very young and educated candidate among all the mayoral candidates. But could not understand the politics of Arrah’s Municipal Corporation and was badly defeated. In this way, both the mayor and the deputy mayor are BJP-backed candidates in Arrah Municipal Corporation. Both the woman mayor and the husband of the deputy mayor serve as officers in the BJP.
