Finally the wait is over! Actually, Akshay Kumar released a new poster of the film on social media and revealed that he has officially started shooting for the film. He has also unveiled its release date.
When is ‘Bhoot Bangla’ releasing?
There is a lot of excitement among people about Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s upcoming horror-comedy ‘Bhoot Bangla’. The makers first created the atmosphere of the film through an explosive poster and now they have released another poster increasing the excitement. Also a big announcement has been made that the film will be released on 2 April 2026. The interesting thing is that the shooting of the film has started from today.
Akshay Kumar has released a new poster of the film on his Insta account, in which he is seen sitting on a haunted bungalow with a lantern in the dark of night. Along with this, the actor has written in the caption, “Today we are starting the shooting of our horror comedy Bhoot Bangla, so I am very excited to come on the set with my favorite Priyadarshan. This double dose of fear and laughter will be ready for you on April 2, 2026! Till then we wish you all the best.”

The pair of horror-comedy king director Priyadarshan and actor Akshay Kumar are reuniting after 14 years for Bhoot Bangla. Bhoot Bangla, being made under the direction of Priyadarshan, has been produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor and Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films. The co-producers of the film are Fara Shaikh and Vedant Bali. The story has been written by Akash A Kaushik, and the screenplay has been prepared jointly by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan. Dialogues have been written by Rohan Shankar.
