MA Hindi student committed suicide by hanging in BHU. The police recovered his body from the room of Birla Hostel C. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. The Practorial Board has informed the family members about the incident.
Jitendra Kumar Thakur (23), a resident of Gokupur ward of Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh, was a student of MA Hindi literature. When the door of his room did not open till late on Monday evening, the companions knocked on the door for a long time. When the door did not open for 15 minutes, the students peeped through the window and saw that Ajit was hanging from the fan. The students flagged him down and informed the proctorial board. Members of the Proctorial Board, who reached the spot, informed the police about the incident.

Police said that the laptop was pressed under Jitendra’s back in the room and the mobile was thrown at the post. Jitendra’s father Surendra Kumar Thakur has been informed about the incident. The post-mortem of the dead body of the student will be done only after the arrival of the family members. Chief Proctor Prof. Abhimanyu Singh told that the reason for the suicide of the student could not be clarified.
