Bhojpur: Talent does not depend on anyone, on the basis of hard work and dedication a young man from the village has made this a reality. A welding mechanic belonging to the village has done wonders by making an e-cycle that runs on batteries like an e-bike. To do all this, the young man has prepared the bicycle with six months of hard work. Everyone is appreciating the spirit of Mantosh Sharma, a resident of Pasaur village of Charpokhari block of the district. Mantosh Sharma tells that there is a welding machinery shop in the village itself.
inspiration for e-cycle
Seeing the village children coming and going on foot or by bicycle in the summer, Mantosh thought that something should be made so that these children can easily go to school in the summer without any expense. One day when I was sitting idle at the shop, it came to my mind that why not make a bicycle which does not require hard work and is available at a low price.
How to make e-cycle
Mantosh came up with the idea of an electronic bicycle to make his journey easy and comfortable. Then, the work started by welding the battery, motor and bicycle frame. After about 6 months of hard work the bicycle was completely ready. When I tried driving the e-cycle myself, the cycle started running at a maximum speed of 35 kilometers per hour with the accelerator on. Seeing this, the people of the village appreciated Mantosh for this work and have demanded from the administrative level to make this bicycle available in the market in the coming days.
Bicycle prepared at a cost of Rs 22 thousand
Talking to Local 18, Mantosh Sharma said that this bicycle is equipped with a motor, two people can ride comfortably on this bicycle. According to Mantosh, approximately Rs 22 thousand was spent on manufacturing the bicycle frame and purchasing and making all the parts. The bicycle consists of motor, battery, horn, indicator, accelerator parts. Apart from this, a box to keep the battery and charger is also made. If you go to buy an e-cycle in the market, it will be available in the range of at least Rs 50 to 60 thousand.
Travel of 45 to 50 kilometers on a single charge
The specialty of e-cycle is that it will run on battery, but if someone wants to ride it by pedaling, then he can ride it by turning off the motor mode. After charging the battery for 4 hours, a distance of about 45 to 50 kilometers can be traveled. Its maximum speed is 30-35 km/hour. The brake is designed accordingly.
future plans
Mantosh says that more work can be done to increase the distance. Battery power and charging time may increase. Talking to Local 18, Mantosh said that ever since the e-cycle was made by him, hundreds of people from the village and surrounding areas want to come and buy it. He says that the second one should be made similar. But we want to make e-cars and not bicycles. We want to make such an e-car which can be ready in just 4 to 5 lakhs. For this they demand help from the central and state governments.
