In a major action, the police of Sitamarhi district of Bihar have arrested seven members of the NH robber gang together. Along with this, the district police has also exposed the inter-district highway robber gang. Four real brothers from Muzaffarpur are also included in this gang. Whereas three other people from Sitamarhi are also part of the gang. Police have arrested seven miscreants including four brothers. At the same time, the police have recovered two looted bikes and about a dozen mobile phones.
SDPO Sadar Ramakrishna said that the special police team formed on the instructions of SP Manoj Kumar Tiwari has taken the above action. He told that secret information was received that all the above mentioned criminals carry out incidents of robbery and snatching on NH 77. After this, based on the information, raids were conducted and the above action was taken. Three pistols, three cartridges, two bikes looted in the robbery case in Pupri and Sitamarhi have also been recovered from the miscreants.
The arrested accused were identified as Sheikh Mohd., a resident of Sahebganj police station ward 11 Bhathandi of Muzaffarpur district and currently a resident of Bariyarpur Bismillah Chowk of Nagar police station. Hasan’s son Sheikh Reyaz alias Rehaan alias Guddu, Sheikh Irfan alias Rehaan, Sheikh Saddam, Sheikh Rizwan. At the same time, Ratnesh Kumar, son of late Bachchu Paswan, resident of Bhupbhairo of Nagar police station, Sunil Kumar, son of Satyanarayan Paswan, resident of Bariyarpur Ward 37 and Bharat Rai, son of Vinda Rai have been identified.
SDPO Sadar Ramakrishna said that the city police station received information that some criminals are planning to carry out some major incident near Bariyarpur. After this the team took action and arrested five criminals with illegal weapons and stolen bikes.
It is noteworthy that the same gang had carried out the robbery by knife attack in Pupri police station area yesterday and the incident of bike robbery by stabbing and shooting in Nagar police station area. Besides, this gang used to carry out incidents of snatching of mobiles, purses, chains and cash etc. as soon as they got the opportunity. On the behest of the arrested criminals, two other criminals have been arrested along with the motorcycle and mobile of the robbery cases of Pupri and Sitamarhi. At present all the miscreants have been sent to judicial custody.
