Fearless criminals opened fire at a wedding ceremony in Patna late last night in which two people were seriously injured. The case pertains to Madhur Milan marriage hall located in Chirayantal of Kankarbagh police station area. It is said that the marriage of Inspector Ajay Kumar posted in Arrah was in the Madhur Milan marriage hall where the procession was taking place at that time. It was around 12 o’clock in the night, then four fearless criminals riding on two bikes suddenly started firing. As soon as the firing took place, there was an atmosphere of chaos. Everyone started running here and there. There was shouting all around. Chandan Kumar (26), a resident of Ram Krishna Nagar and a tent worker Pradumna alias Pradeep Paswan (25), a resident of Dhanrua, were injured in the firing, standing at the gate of the hall. Both the relatives were admitted to PMCH in Anan Phanan. Chandan Kumar has been shot in the head while Pradumna has been shot in the thigh. At present, the condition of Chandan remains very serious. According to the doctor, his chances of survival are said to be very less. At present, both are being treated at PMCH. Chandan is admitted in ICU. The incident happened on Tuesday night at 11:00 pm.
There was an argument with the car driver during the procession
In relation to the incident, it is told that a procession was taking place. In this sequence, there was an argument between a car driver and the wedding processions passing by. Meanwhile, the baraatis beat up the car driver. While leaving, the car driver said wait, let me tell you. After some time, the bike-borne criminals reached there and started firing indiscriminately, in which two people were badly injured.
What is Patna SSP saying
In relation to the incident, SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon said that at around 11 pm, a procession was being held at the Madhur Milan marriage hall near Chirayantal. Meanwhile, in the process of dancing, there was a slight collision of the baraatis with a car passing by. In this sequence, a minor scuffle took place between the baraati and the car driver. In this anger, the car driver left from there saying that wait, I will come and taste the pleasure. After about 10 minutes of the incident, two bike-borne criminals came and started firing indiscriminately, in which Chandan and Pradumna were injured. At present, the police is probing the matter by going through all the CCTV footage in the vicinity.
